Ymlaen - Helping adults with alcohol and drug issues move forward.

If you are concerned about your or some-one else’s alcohol and/or drug use and want to do something about it then contact Ymlaen. A friendly, free and confidential service.

What we offer

Ymlaen is your first point of contact for alcohol related issues in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion or alcohol and/or drug issues in Pembrokeshire.

(We are sorry but we are unable to offer help with adult drug issues in Carmarthenshire or Ceredigion at this time)

How can we help?

Give us a call and we will be able to provide you with:

• Advice and information
• Initial assessment within 10 working days of referral
• One to one assistance to help you sort out your problems
• Put you in touch with specialist alcohol services if necessary
• Sign posting or referral to a more suitable service

Partnership working

Ymlaen work in partnership with Social Care and Housing, and NHS Substance Misuse Services, as well as other charitable alcohol and drug services in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire.

We do this to make sure that you have access to the most appropriate and comprehensive services for your needs.

This means that after we have made an initial assessment of your needs and what you want from services we will discuss that information with our partners so that you will be able to access our partners’ services if indicated.

Confidentiality

Ymlaen aims to ensure the information you share with us remains confidential.

This means that we will only share information about you with others on a need to know basis and wherever possible with your knowledge and consent.

If you have any concerns about confidentiality phone us and we will be more than happy to discuss it with you.

Philosophy

Ymlaen believes in working in partnership with it’s service users to help them find solutions to their alcohol and drug issues

Ymlaen promotes the safer use or non-use of alcohol according to individual need or circumstance.

Ymlaen uses a model of harm reduction to help people with drug issues work towards and achieve the non-use of drugs.

Accessibility

We will do all that we can to make our services accessible for you.  For example we will try to organise appointments at a location convenient for you, or book a translator if needed.
